Just last month, LEGO Ideas’ Jazz Quartet set was unintentionally left on the shelf of a Target store, and we were only allowed a short peek at the set. However, sneak peeks are no longer important because LEGO has officially revealed the new 21334 Jazz Quartet piece!

We are glad that this set will now be available, especially because fan designer Hsinwei Chi submitted the design for this set as a LEGO Ideas project in January 2021; it is nice to see these submissions come alive.

While LEGO attempted to maintain the same design submitted, there are yet several variations. Take the gender of the pianist; for instance, the initial design featured a male pianist, but the newly revealed set has a female pianist instead. The posture and placement of the brick jazz artists also seem a little less graceful and natural on the new set. This is probably a sacrifice LEGO made to give the set its balance. The design of the instruments on the set is quite similar to the original.



 

The Jazz Quartet piece set will be officially available around the world on the 1st of July 2022 at all certified LEGO stores. The set will also go at a market price of £89.99 / €99.99 / $99.99 / 169.99AUD / 129.99 CAD.
